This memorandum was developed within the framework of the IMALP project. It is the result of the work of four Alpine territories: Moyenne Tarentaise in France, Val di Sole in Italy, Murau in Austria and Val d’Hérens in Switzerland.

It aims at bringing together various stakeholders such as farmers, elected representatives, NGOs, economic actors and citizens in general, to take part in developing visions of the future of agriculture and rural development in the Alps.

In the Alpine Memorandum we propose seven basic principles, which anyone can apply in their work and everyday life, to promote sustainable agriculture and rural development.
